Delicious noodles and great prices! I was here about six months ago and enjoyed it and came back with my parents. if you've never been here you have to try the Hong Kong French toast and I recommend doing it with peanut butter. I tried the Singapore style shrimp & BBQ pork noodles, and I highly recommend those as well. Overall the food is good, everything is cooked up fresh and the service is friendly.
MoreFamily style Cantonese food. Vast menu but really just similar dishes with varying option. We had the beef chow fun and finished everything. Large portion for what you pay. Definitely will be coming back to try their other dishes.
MoreLove this fun atmosphere place. It’s in the heart of China town in SW. we ordered fried chicken, beef chow fun (dry style) , jumbo shrimp and egg sauce chow fun, ducks, garlic water spinach, fried calamari, curry fried rice and of course the butter condensed milk HK French toasted. Fried chicken were crunchy and right amount of seasoning. Beef chow fun and ducks very tasty. The curry fried rice was ok, the fried calamari is a lil bland to me. Over all this restaurant is pretty good. Their customer service is excellent. Staff are very attentive and helpful. We definitely come back 😊
MoreComing from NYC it's hard to find a good spot for Cantonese Cuisine. This place reminds me of NYC. Staff is friendly and the table are clean. But you come to this place for the noodles. They have so many different kinds of noodle dishes. My favorite was the Beef Chow Fun and the ingredients they use are so fresh. We will be back. FYI it takes an hour for me to get to this establishment and I don't fret about coming to this place.
MoreGreat customer service ! Food is good! Wings and fried rice the best
We enjoyed the chicken chow fun plate. My husband liked the congee with minced beef but not me. Lots of interesting choices and friendly bustling service. Highly recommend
MoreThe food and prices are great but the fact that they no longer deliver especially in today’s health climate... SUCKS!
MoreFood is always consistently good. It comes out fast, sometimes faster than fast food restaurants. Wait staff always attentive and available.
MoreFirst time eating fish balls, always wanted to try them, and I LOVED them! The wings were amazing! Food was fresh and delicious!
MoreThe whole experience was great. The food came out in a timely manner and smelled great! Our waitress was very patient with us and our questions in regards to what was in each dish. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting fresh noodles 🍜.
MoreThey didn't speak much English but knew the menu front and back! Very honest, new server let us know he wasn't skilled yet. Fresh hot, delicious food though, the real deal.
MoreThe food here is tasty with good portions and the staff is friendly and cool! My partner's family frequents here so much that they're family friends. I like the interior and vibe. I got some of my friends into Asian food because of bringing them here!
MoreI've been to the house of bowls twice now, and enjoyed it both times. If you're in Chinatown, I highly recommend stopping by and perusing the extensive menu.
MoreWe customized dishes, they were all great!! Friendly service!! If you want some homemade feel dishes, this IS the place!!
MoreAffordable price, a little more oil in foods but those are traditional Chinese meal method.
MoreThier chicken wings are one of the best dishes you can get there
First time coming here and I loved it! The staff was friendly, food was delicious and came out fast. I got a Hong Kong style lemon tea and some dry noodles. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend coming here for good food!
MoreFood is always good and fresh here. Chicken wings are fantastic. A good Ma Po Tofu as well.
MoreConsistently good food. Pretty good service, and good value. A special (to me) treat is the decor...... wonderfully done.
MoreThe best food ever. 10/10 RECOMMEND get the brisket. You won't be disappointed.
Great food and service.. the best casual Hong Kong style food...
I've been here twice and have tried different things and have yet to be disappointed. The food is delicious! It's not overly salty and the portions are pretty generous. My one real small complaint is that the menu is massive. It took us about 10 minutes to figure out what we wanted on the menu. When we finally figured out what we wanted, we ordered and our food was out in about 10 minutes. Not bad at all. We ordered the beef, egg, and tomato over rice and the beef and vegetable chow fun. There was plenty of food and enough to be able to take some home. I saw people ordering the special french toast I keep hearing about, but I figured i'd try it next time since I was already stuffed. The restaurant is spacious and there is plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back and try something else, especially the french toast!
More[Jimchelin guide] I had stir fried rice and flat noodle with beef. Something was bit missing but overall, those are the best fried rice and flat noodle i had in Texas. might be perfect stir fried with a pinch of salt and pepper and diced garlic. However, the chef got a great wok skill. nothing was burned and the texture and temperature of the food was well equally distributed. Also, the ingredients were fresh and good customer services compared to other chinese restaurants in Bellare.
MoreCame to his place for the first time my husband actually found it online so we were looking at the reviews and decided to try it. As we walked in we waited 5 min to be seated they actually set us before the 5 min window which I tought was super fast. As we walked in it was pretty busy . Our waitress paid attention to us and the food was pretty fast. I order the broccoli and beef on top of white rice and it was delicious my husband order the Singapore style noodles and he love it as well . I would definitely come back and let me say I am a very picky eater but I loved this place . Not to mention price was very affordable. Definitely recommend it !
MoreVery good food! The staff is nice and polite.
Excellent small place. I ordered the beef flat rice noodles. Delicious and not overly oily. The wok technique is on point and flavorful. This is my second visit and will be make an effort to go more frequently. And I’ve just visited again and the flat rice noodles is consistent. I think this is their signature dish. I’ll always come back for this dish :)
MoreNormally a fairly reliable spot. 3.5.Service is always prompt and friendly and food never normally takes too long.On this occasion there was a slight order mishap, the lo main noodles were requested with chicken only (no pork and no scrimp) the dish only arrived with scrimp. Upon its return, the noodles were like rubber bands and we eventually gave up.The menu is extensive, it could easily take a few moments to get familiar. Although the prices are okay, I feel they are a touch higher than what’s normal to the area.
MoreThis restaurant has been around forever and over the years, I've dined here more times than I can count. I have to admit that I kind of stopped coming here for the past two-three year. But one day, I just had a craving for some spaghetti (seriously) and where can one go to get some good spaghetti for cheap? You guessed it, House of Bowls!!The meat sauce spaghetti is my go-to order here, along with the French Toast and they don't disappoint. The last time I came in, I dragged my sister along with me and it was her first time there. She was a little flabbergasted at my dinner order, but who could blame her, right? I mean, spaghetti and french toast at a Chinese restaurant? But she loved them. The service is not too bad for Chinatown standards. But it's still Chinatown so don't expect anything exceptional. However, you can expect some delicious food here.
MoreEverything was ok but nothing really stood out. Everything was just a bit bland. My wife said that in southern China food tends to be bland. Can't really give them a higher score. The service was very quick and the prices were reasonable. There were condiments to dress the food up some, but being later in the evening, I didn't want to worry about heartburn. Overall it was a good meal, but nothing outstanding.
MoreLarge menu for the very hungry or ones who just want a snack. I went here with a friend and we got the special macaroni and the curry noodles. Portions were big, I only finished half my macaroni! Servers take you order almost immediately. Good place to have a casual meal.
